This map is Plate No. 25 from a J.H. Colton atlas that we believed was published in 1857. Copyright statement on map: "Entered according to Act of Congress in the year 1855 by J. H. Colton & Co. in the Clerk's Office of the District Court of the United States for the Southern District of New York." On verso: "The District of Columbia", text on three columns.
