Haussner’s Restaurant was one of Baltimore’s most famous landmarks. It was opened in 1926 by William Haussner and remained opened for the next 73 years until it closed on October 6, 1999. The restaurant was not only known for cuisine which consisted of fresh seafood, German food, and freshly prepared desserts. The Haussner Restaurant was also known for it’s extensive art collection which decorated its walls. Over the 73 years William Haussner and his wife collected over 100 pieces of fine art that was displayed throughout the restaurant.
